Annual Meeting
Jemez Mountains Electric Cooperative Inc. held its annual meeting on July 18, 2010 at the annual meeting site (Rancho De La Luz) in La Cueva near Jemez Springs New Mexico.
Despite a membership quorum not present at the annual business meeting, great entertainment was provided by Mr. Roberto Romero and his band for all present to enjoy. Face painting, Jumpers and popcorn were all a hit with the little ones.
A delicious roast beef lunch with all the trimmings was served and many door prizes were given away including the "grand prize", a big screen flat panel television set won by Angie and Felix Bustos of Los Pachecos New Mexico.
An abrupt down pour of rain surprised us for a short time during the meeting however, everyone quickly congregated underneath the large canopy including the picnic shelters enjoying the lingering scent of freshly moistened pine as the weather cleared up.
The afternoon included keynote speaker Rick Gordon President of Tri-State G&T and Kevin Groenewold, Executive Vice President/General Manager NMRECA.
