Never Touch A Downed Or Buried Line. It Could Be Dangerous!
If your power goes off, check fuses or circuit breakers in your home. If there is no trouble with your fuse box or breaker, check to see if your neighbor is also without power. Please report any outages to Jemez Mountains Electric Cooperative, Inc.
Report an Outage by Phone:
When calling, to expedite the reporting process, please give the following information:
- Meter Number
- Service Address
- Telephone Number
- How long your power has been off
- If you have seen anything unusual on or near your property that may have caused the outage
Your call will be answered by an automated operator that is designed to associate the reporting parties phone number with the address listed on your account (make sure we have your number on our system). If no association is made it will give you an opportunity to record your address. Utilizing the automated system will in turn result in quicker response times from JMEC dispatch and line crews. Since the phone number and message is recorded a dispatcher will call if clarification is needed or they would like more details if you know of the cause of the outage. Special attention is given to those with a medical alert status.
